Why I’m Running for Re-Election
Dear Neighbor,
It gives me great pride to ask Carson voters to support me as I seek re-election as a member of the Carson City Council. As a life-long Carson resident, I have a strong connection to the Carson community and am thoroughly vested in ensuring that Carson remains a thriving, caring, and celebrated place for all of our residents, businesses, and stakeholders. Since my election to the City Council in 2015, I have worked hard on behalf of our residents to keep our City Council accessible to the public, responsive to resident needs, and effective in our provision of services.
Carson is a beloved city where we celebrate our diversity, value our seniors and our youth, and look out for our neighbors and friends. Though there have been many difficulties in recent years, there have also been several wins that must not be overlooked. As a father, an educator, and a Bishop, I have a strong commitment to public service as it enables me to help ensure that Carson remains the best place for my family, my congregation, and the many other members of this community whom I deeply cherish.
My candidacy to remain a City Council member reaffirms my commitment to the City of Carson and my strong desire to see our city continue to address its areas of needed growth, maintain our areas of strength, and expand upon the various initiatives that currently serve our residents. It is my intent to become the first City of Carson Council District 1 representative where I will maintain my commitment to Carson as a whole and focus my efforts in the specific area where I will serve.
